The Safety-Driven Crypto Exchange Platform
Mandala is a Chicago-based fintech company that operates a user-friendly cryptocurrency trade platform designed to simplify trading in volatile markets. The platform offers access to a vast liquidity pool and aims to establish itself as a leader within crypto trading platforms while fostering relationships with regulated entities.
A key feature is the Mandala Token (MDX), which offers benefits such as referral rewards and trading fee rebates, thereby incentivizing loyalty and community growth.
When Capicua joined the project, the front end was partially developed using custom React libraries. The main challenge was ensuring the design aligned with backend functionality while enhancing the UX to meet Mandala's vision for an intuitive crypto platform.
Crypto exchanger dashboards are data-dense, with prices updating quickly and multiple instruments trading simultaneously, so the design had to balance complexity with approachability for non-professional traders.
Since a cryptocurrency platform handles sensitive financial data and is often a target for hacking, security was critical, making preventing data breaches and theft, and integrating measures, a crucial priority right from the start.
Capicua worked with React and Modulus.io for the front- and back-end, with React Material-UI for a modern design system to make complex trading interfaces accessible. We implemented WebSocket for real-time data flow, eliminating latency and preventing outdated pricing information, and included an ML-based chatbot to assist users.
Security features like two-factor authentication were integrated into the architecture, and the dashboard was designed to clearly present large volumes of data, allowing traders of all experience levels to make informed decisions with confidence.
