BSA
Capicua helped BSA technology build its brand and customer acquisition ecosystem for a wireless blindspot alert system engineered for any car on the road.
Context

Blind spots are a major cause of car accidents, with many older vehicles lacking blind-spot detection. BSA, founded in San Francisco, addresses this issue with a wireless alert system that attaches to side mirrors.

The system uses radar sensors, an accelerometer, and LED lights to notify drivers of objects in their blind zones and escalate warnings. The battery-powered device requires no wiring and is compatible with any car, making advanced safety technology widely accessible. Developed over three years by a skilled engineering team, BSA rises as a reliable safety instrument for real-world driving.

Problem

BSA had a technically impressive product and a clear market need, but lacked the identity and digital infrastructure to reach the drivers who needed it. Without a compelling online presence and a huge gap between quality and visibility, the device couldn't find its audience.

The brand also needed to communicate two things simultaneously that are rarely easy to balance: high-tech credibility (this device is engineered, tested, and proven) and everyday accessibility (anyone can install it, use it, and trust it).

BSA demanded an end-to-end customer experience: a place for people to learn about the product, make a purchase, and stay engaged through newsletters and updates, all built efficiently and maintainably.

Solution

Capicua partnered with BSA to develop its branding and full digital experience. Our design included a visual identity that balances high-tech precision with approachable clarity, with a palette and design language that signal engineering rigor without alienating drivers.

We built BSA's landing page using the Divi Builder on WordPress, incorporating product education, an FAQ section, and a contact form. The design guides users from awareness through understanding to purchase consideration, reflecting the decision-making journey of someone evaluating a safety device for the first time.

Beyond the landing page, Capicua built an integrated ecosystem for customer acquisition and retention: an e-commerce flow for direct device purchases and a newsletter subscription system to keep interested buyers engaged over time. The UI design was developed in Figma before being translated to production.

  • Brand Design: visual identity, color palette, design language.
  • Development: Landing page development via Divi Builder on WordPress.
  • Content: FAQ and Contact sections supporting informed purchase decisions.
  • Community: Newsletter subscription system for acquisition and retention.
  • Purchases: E-commerce flow for direct device sales.
Success

BSA has a digital presence that reflects the engineering behind the product. The landing page clearly communicates what the device does, why it works, and how to get it, turning a technically sophisticated product into something any driver can understand and want.

The identity positions BSA in a distinctive space: not quite consumer electronics, not quite OEM automotive, but a credible, purpose-built safety company with a product that belongs in every car. That positioning is now legible from the first online interaction with the brand.

The e-commerce and newsletter infrastructure gives BSA a foundation for direct-to-consumer growth that owns the customer relationship from first touch to purchase and beyond.

  • Identity: Clear communication of engineering credibility and everyday accessibility
  • Website: Full landing page live with product education, FAQ, and purchase path
  • Workflows: E-commerce flow supporting direct device sales
  • Engagement: Newsletter system building an engaged audience.
  • Presence: Digital presence now matches the quality of a three-year R&D investment

Great hardware deserves great positioning. With Shaped Clarity, Capicua bridges the gap between what your product does and what the world understands about it. If you've built something technically remarkable and need the brand, design, and digital infrastructure to bring it to market, let's talk.
