Since joining Clubessential Holdings in 2017, PrestoSports has served over 1,400 partners, leveraging its expertise in both technology and the dynamics of the sports community.
When Capicua joined, PrestoSports' sports management platform was constrained by an aging tech stack of JSP and Java that, while functional, couldn't keep up with the agile demands of the roadmap, hindering speed, performance, and expansion.
The platform featured specialized modules, including PrestoShots for photography and PrestoStats for real-time data tracking during live events. Still, the legacy system struggled to consistently deliver real-time data. Managing a sports league management software with a complex CMS serving over 1,400 partners with varying technical skills required a redesign of the control interface for intuitive content management.
Capicua transformed the platform from its legacy JSP and Java stack to a modern React and Node architecture through a strategic, module-by-module approach. Starting with the Super Suite, we progressively upgraded PrestoShots, PrestoStats, and the core CMS.
The new stack resulted in a lighter, faster platform capable of handling the live event data demands of sports administration software while enabling the development team to ship new features with confidence. React's component model was essential for managing our numerous specialized modules. We also revamped PrestoSports' CMS to provide a more intuitive control layer, easing content management for partners with varying levels of technical skill.
